The Dénia City Council and the Fundació Dénia CCGCV sign an agreement to hold Dénia, Ciutat del Pensament 2025.
The Mayor of Dénia, Vicent Grimalt, and the Secretary General of the Dénia Creative City of Gastronomy Foundation of the Valencian Community, Ricard Pérez Miñana, signed a collaboration agreement today for the implementation and coordination of activities under the "Dénia, City of Thought 2025" project.
Under this agreement, Dénia City Council is committed to contributing €60,000 for the organization and development of this cultural and academic project, which will be held between September and November 2025.
The Dénia Creative City of Gastronomy Foundation, which includes Dénia City Council, the Marina Alta Business Circle (CEDMA), the Marina Alta Hospitality and Tourism Business Association (AEHTMA), and Balearia, supports Dénia City of Thought 2025 among its main projects. This initiative combines educational, cultural, and artistic activities to foster dialogue between the humanities, science, and art, promoting universal values such as knowledge, creativity, sustainability, and humane business.
During these months, the calendar will offer various proposals for reflection and dialogue, accessible to all citizens, and the full program will be presented in detail in the coming days. For now, the Terra y Mar Fair has already begun, to be held on September 20th, and the Dénia Photo Club photography exhibition, which will open on September 25th within the artistic area.
The mayor, Vicent Grimalt, emphasized that "with this agreement, Dénia takes another step in its commitment to establishing itself not only as a gastronomic benchmark, but also as a leader in the fields of reflection, creativity, and knowledge."
For his part, Ricard Pérez Miñana noted that "Dénia City of Thought" paves the way for the city to become a benchmark space for dissemination, critical reflection, and the exchange of ideas, reinforcing the innovative and creative nature of our region."
